Hands-On Learning! Real-World Growth! Community Roots!

While our digital tools help students explore entrepreneurship from anywhere, Sowing Seeds is where that vision comes to life—in person, on the ground, and side by side with the community.

This is the physical extension of Marketing Fruit’s mission: to empower underserved youth by planting real opportunities where they live, learn, and grow. Whether it’s launching student-led ventures, renovating community spaces, or partnering with local businesses, Sowing Seeds transforms curriculum into action—and classrooms into ecosystems of innovation.

What Happens In-Person?

Sowing Seeds is built around hands-on, purpose-driven experiences that connect students to their communities while developing market-ready skills.

Student-Led Business Pathways

Each participating school aligns its elective classes (like welding, culinary, art, and agriculture) with a pre-selected business track, giving students the opportunity to launch, manage, and scale real ventures supported by staff and local mentors.

Business Shadowing & Mentorship

Students participate in on-site shadowing experiences with local businesses and city departments, providing valuable insights into operations, leadership, and the workforce. These relationships often evolve into paid internships, apprenticeships, or partnerships.

Field Trips & Exchange Opportunities

We collaborate with districts, nonprofits, and global partners to create culturally rich field trips, exchange programs, and experiential projects—expanding students’ view of what’s possible beyond their town’s limits.

How It Impacts Communities

When students thrive, communities grow stronger. Sowing Seeds helps towns build new infrastructure, restore abandoned spaces, and activate creative projects that bring pride, revenue, and connection.

  • Community-built gardens and pop-up marketplaces
  • Revitalized public areas turned into art galleries, mazes, or co-working spaces
  • Workforce pipelines aligned with local economic goals
  • Grant-funded student projects solving real community challenges

Designed With Schools, Not For Them

We don’t drop in with a one-size-fits-all kit. Every Sowing Seeds program is custom-built alongside educators, administrators, and families to meet the specific needs of each school and region. Whether you’re in a rural district or a growing city, we bring flexible frameworks, vetted safety protocols, and staff training to help you plant and grow your own version of success.

Want to Bring Sowing Seeds to Your Community?

We’re actively partnering with school districts, city municipalities, and local organizations across California. If you’re ready to explore what this could look like in your region, we’d love to plant the first seed with you.
